Alliance welcomes Danielle Kick as accountant
Dickinson native Danielle Kick has joined the accounting team at Innovative Energy Alliance (IEA) Cooperative. Working out of the Dickinson office as an accountant, she will do accounts payable and bank reconciliations for the cooperative family. Her first day was Jan. 11.
Danielle comes to us from Wyoming Casing Service, an oil and gas company in Dickinson where she worked the past 8 years. Prior to that, she did accounting and title work for other businesses. She says leaving Wyoming Casing Service was a tough decision because her co-workers were like family. Wanting to expand her horizons and improve herself, she applied for the job with the Alliance and was hired.
“I love numbers; they are like a puzzle to me. Accounting is something I’ve always enjoyed,” she says. “It helps that I’m highly detailed-oriented and have a great work ethic. I also have a strong sense of integrity, and feel like that’s important as an accountant. I strive to do what’s best.”
Growing up in town in Dickinson, Danielle says she was not familiar with her local Touchstone Energy® Cooperative, West Plains Electric (now Alliance member Roughrider Electric). She graduated from Trinity High School and attended Dickinson State University, where she graduated with an associate’s degree in accounting.
Danielle is married to husband Tyler, and they have one son, Emersyn. They enjoy attending his hockey games, and in the summer, golfing, hiking and traveling.
With the seventh cooperative principle “concern for community” in mind, Danielle serves as treasurer for the Dickinson Chamber of Commerce board of directors. She also volunteers on a handful of committees and co-chairs the Professional Development Committee. Danielle also co-manages her son’s hockey team.
Welcome to the Alliance, Danielle. We hope to become your next ‘family’ and look forward to working alongside you in serving our members.
